The I-Ching of Change
Just read an article by Dr. David Clippinger about Chinese philosophy and healing. Seems that there is a universal principle that the "forms of all things are in a state of perpetual motion and change." Everything is subject to this "always turning round of yin and yang."
How different this mindset is from our usual, Western thought. We fight change, we resist it, we try to overcome it, we try to conquer it.
Rarely do we attempt to go with it. To accept it, and let it take us where we need to go.
Comedy lets us into this flowing sea of change. How?
Comedy disrupts our usual way of seeing things.
Comedy surprises us with new insights.
Comedy lets us have fun.
When we approach change with this mindset, change seems less threatening. It might even be so fun that it heals us.
